What is a Rolling Rodeo?

A simulated road course with instruction in biking and rolling safely.

We hope to be bringing this fun program to your school in Talbot County in 2026! Each Rodeo includes:

• Free helmets and water bottles
• Demo bikes for kids who do not have a bike
• Learning the ABCs of bike safety
• Riding the simulated road course with your classmates!

Les rodéos donnent aux enfants l'occasion d'apprendre les techniques de base de la conduite d'un vélo, les pratiques de conduite et de roulage en toute sécurité et l'importance du port du casque.

Que ce soit en ville, sur les pistes ou sur les routes de campagne du comté, il est important que les enfants connaissent le code de la route et sachent comment se protéger lorsqu'ils roulent, font du skateboard ou du patin à roulettes dans la circulation.

Through a series of fun, interactive activities on a protected obstacle course, kids will learn how to navigate roadways, understand traffic signals, and practice safe biking techniques. With expert guidance and plenty of encouragement, kids will gain confidence on their wheels and discover the excitement of riding, rolling, and exploring the world around them.

Les participants à l'événement recevront un certificat officiel d'achèvement et un autocollant Rolling Rodeo pour leur casque ou leur appareil à roulettes.

L'événement comprendra également

• Remise des casques et ajustement: Le port correct du casque est essentiel pour la sécurité à vélo. Les enfants participants recevront GRATUITEMENT un casque personnalisé à ramener chez eux. 
• Réparation et contrôle des vélos: For those who bring their own bikes, our volunteers will be available to make sure bikes are in good operating condition and that tires are properly inflated. Our youngest riders will be helped with learning to balance on a bike.
• Demo Bikes: Don’t worry if your child doesn’t have a bike. We will be bringing a fleet of bikes for use by participants in the program.
